Spell ‘Kuching’ without the ‘h’ means ‘cat’ in the Malay language. Kuching is truly a ‘cat city’. There are cats everywhere in town and I know someone who let his cats eat and sleep with him! These first 3 pictures are his pampered cats.
Jee Jee the mean fighting machine.

Jesse the big sister.

Jengki the fat cat.

Thank you Eric for letting me use pictures of your cats.

Think these cats are so cute and wanna bring them home? Well…drop by the Sunday market this weekend to get one of this t-shirts!!! Lovely, cheap and doesn’t require cat food!

Meow..meow…
I found this little ‘thing’ on my plate AFTER I have finished my chicken rice!!!! Err… I thought escargots were supposed to be cooked in butter-garlic-parsley before being served…h?m?m?m?m?…

pssssst… be wary when you eat at a certain shop at Jalan Song…
A relaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon…fishing – off the Satok bridge!

I know it’s dangerous to fish by the road side…yeah try telling that to these avid anglers!

A place to have your satay and ayam panggang (barbeque chickens).

Remember the old suspension bridge? This is what is left of it after it collapsed a few years back. How sad…it was part of Sarawak history.

Hai!!! This girl was so sporty. She just popped her head out and gave me a wide smile. Click! click! and you’re on candid camera!!!

Parking on a curb or yellow line is such a norm in Kuching.

Did this driver miss his turning?

These RELA (People’s Volunteer Corps) members were called in to mind the traffic.

Does this ‘parking space’ look familiar? hint…hint.. “Sarawak – land of the free…” Maybe we should plant more trees along our 20cts/half hour parking lots.
Is it there aren’t enough parking lots provided by the council or just plain ‘don’t care’ attitude of Kuching drivers? What a shame!
