Indeed it was a short corridor stop… Tondong is a tiny town on the way to Bau from Batu Kawa. Tondong in Chinese means ‘short corridor’. It has only two rows of shophouses and a town hall. The main road is only about 200m in length.

I  passed by this place  many times on my way to Bau and Sematan but time never permit me to visit. Last week I decided to check it out… now I have added Tondong to the list of towns I have visited. (And there are a whole lot more to go in Sarawak!!)

This town has a couple of coffee shops, sundry shops and a mini post office… not bad for such a tiny town. All you need now is a corner Starbucks …. just kidding  🙂
