I have always like to eat putu mayang, it’s light, sweet and it has grated coconut. Today I found a new stall selling putu mayang at Satok Sunday market. (The other stall is ran by an Indian lady). This pakcik (uncle) is from Penang!!

I might have to say his business is good!!

And the putu mayang is not bad either!

The ‘noodle’ is pandan flavoured and he uses brown sugar – typical Penang putu mayang. Hmmmm… what happens to the original recipe… white noodle with white sugar – my Sarawak taste like I used to enjoy??
