Yup… The Pavilion at Jalan Tabuan also known as Sarakraf 😉

This place make and sell our local crafts, like beads, ceramic tiles (handmade), pua kumbu, songket, baskets, etc etc. For me to buy any souvenir is easy but to value a souvenir is to know how it is made. So I like to visit places like these to meet and talk to the artisans.

Beadworks under the delicate hands of this lady.

“Tree of Life” ceramic tiles. (I personally prefer the tattoos on his arms!) 😉

Mary was weaving the songket Sarawak. It’ll take her two months to weave a 2-yard songket!! Patience is virtue!
