Many still complacent about anti-H1N1 measures

KUALA LUMPUR: Although the influenza A(H1N1) is sending chills down many spines, a large number of Malaysians do not seem to care much for precautionary measures.
In KL Sentral, where large numbers of people gather, more than half of them were not wearing masks.

Malaysians will always have this attitude of complacency or I prefer to call it the ‘tidak apa’ (don’t care) attitude.
We don’t need higher H1N1 death toll to start caring for our loved ones and ourselves. Wear the mask for protection – don’t laugh at people who wear mask, they are protecting themselves from you or they could be protecting you against themselves who might be ill.
